Measure from where the wood will start to where it will end. Don't include baseboards, crown molding or other trim you aren't covering.
Any large areas you won't cover, like doors or windows?
Measure the full area you won't cover, including trim.
Put your tape measure on the outside edge of the trim
and measure to the outside edge on the other side.
Don't include small things you'll work around, like outlets, switches, light fixtures or plumbing.
