UNLOCK

Enter your license key

Use the license key from your Elevated Cedar Planter Resizer purchase email. We'll remember it on this browser so you don't have to enter it every time.

YOUR SIZE

What size planter?

Enter the approximate dimensions you want. The Resizer will keep the original project's materials and construction logic in mind while it works out your plan.

Choose your box height

This project uses full-width cedar fence pickets so you don't need to trim the boards narrower. With approximately 3½" wide pickets, these are the closest practical box heights to the size you requested.

YOUR PLAN

Your Elevated Cedar Planter

Your finished planter dimensions will be approximate. Cedar fence pickets can vary slightly in actual thickness. If an exact exterior dimension matters, measure your pickets before cutting and adjust your framing as needed.

BUY

A quick note about your length

Each cedar picket provides approximately 59" of straight material after trimming off the dog-ear end. At the length you entered, the long sides will need to be made from more than one piece. If approximately 59" would work for your space, you can start over with that length to keep the long sides as single pieces.

CUT

Cedar

First trim approximately 1" off the dog-ear end of each picket to create straight stock approximately 59" long.

Bottom perimeter pieces are cut to fit around the legs during assembly. Leave small spaces between the bottom pieces for drainage.

ESTIMATED SOIL

Soil quantity is approximate. Settling, drainage material, compost and soil surrounding established plants can all affect the amount you actually use.
